About
Kaitlin Haupt is a highly motivated public health professional with a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from Boston University School of Public Health. She has a strong background in community assessment, program design, implementation, and evaluation, as well as maternal and child health. Kaitlin has gained experience in program management and recruiting, where she has learned how to utilize data to evaluate training programs, identify relevant trends, and offer strategic solutions. Kaitlin has also gained qualitative and quantitative research experience in labs focused on sexual health knowledge and LGBTQ+ women’s reproductive rights. She is passionate about improving women’s health outcomes and is looking for opportunities in research and reproductive rights advocacy. Her areas of interest include reproductive justice, community health promotion, health policy, mental health, design and implementation of education on sexual assault prevention, and sex education for students. Currently, Kaitlin is working as an Implementation and Quality Improvement specialist at The Baker Center for Children and Families. In her previous role as a Maternal and Child Health Research Fellow at Boston University School of Public Health, Kaitlin conducted a literature review and wrote a scientific paper on parental sex education provided to adolescent sexual minority males (ASMM) under Dr. Kimberly Nelson. She also coded qualitative data in Nvivo and quantitative data in STATA regarding an online sexual health intervention for ASMM and drafted academic writing by reporting research findings, resulting in a conference abstract and manuscript in progress. Kaitlin has also worked as a Sexual Assault Prevention Educator at Boston University, where she facilitated skill-building interactive workshops to over 200 undergraduate students on topics including bystander intervention, consent, and healthy relationships. She supported and implemented trauma-informed training sessions to graduate students, designed infographics and outreach materials around sexual violence resources and prevention, created a quarterly newsletter that reaches over 1,000 people advertising on-campus sexual violence prevention events, and represented SARP at university events, providing information on resources and advocacy services. Kaitlin has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a Biological Emphasis from the University of California, Davis, and a high school diploma from Cathedral Catholic High School. She is also proficient in research science and has relevant experience of 4.86 years. Kaitlin is an excellent communicator, a team player, and a problem solver who is committed to making a positive impact on women’s health outcomes through research and advocacy.
